SUNY Foundation Board Appoints Six New Members

NEW PALTZ — The SUNY New Paltz Foundation recently appointed six new members to its Board of Trustees. The action was taken at a meeting held in the Terrace Conference Center at the State University of New York at New Paltz on June 3. The new trustees bring the total number of members to thirty-one.

The appointments include Rosanne Cahn, an economist for Credit Suisse First Boston and a resident of New Paltz and Manhattan; David A. Dorsky, owner of the Dorsky Gallery, president of the Dorsky Foundation of New York and a resident of Manhattan; and Everton Henriques, a process engineering manager at Plasmaco, Inc. and a resident of Highland. Henriques is a 1978 graduate of SUNY New Paltz.

Also appointed were Clifford Miller, Kingston, president and CEO of Ulster Savings Bank; Marjorie Shelley, Manhattan, curator and head of the Paper Conservation Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; and Taylor Thompson, Kingston, retired president of FTS Systems, Inc. of Stone Ridge and consultant at Sperry Mitchell & Co.

The Foundation, created in 1976, is charged with the responsibility of attracting and administering private support for programs and individual projects which are not funded through the state budget. The funds are used to enrich the quality of educational, cultural and service programs of the campus and to improve the quality of student life at SUNY New Paltz.
