Jonathan Myers to Speak at SUNY New Paltz

NEW PALTZ — Dr. Jonathan Myers, an expert in decommissioning nuclear weapons, will speak at the State University of New York at New Paltz on Tuesday, March 16. Myers topic will be “Nuclear Weapons in the Post-Cold War Era.” His talk will deal with problems of waste disposal and the release of radioactive materials into the environment.

Myers is senior technical associate in the Risk Performance Assessment Group at International Technology Corporation. He holds a doctorate in geochemistry from the University of Wyoming. His lecture is open to the public and will be held in Jacobson Faculty Tower 1010 at 7:30 p.m.
