GENESEO — SUNY New Paltz women’s swimmers Claudine Gruver, Erin Lalor, Jessica DiFabio, and Jen Neri broke two Geneseo pool records at the Last Chance Meet in Geneseo on Saturday.
The team didn’t improve upon their NCAA “B” (provisional) qualifying times in either the 200 yard Medley Relay or 200 yard Freestyle Relay, but did swim times of 1:52.29 and 1:40.13, respectively, which did break Geneseo pool records.
Their top times, achieved two weeks ago at the SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships in Buffalo, both rank 11th nationally right now. They’ll find out this Thursday night (Feb. 25) if either of their times are fast enough to earn an invitation to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, to be held March 11-13 at Miami University of Ohio.
