LORRETO, PA. — The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team got its first victory of the 1999 season and placed two players on the All-Tournament Team at the Days Inn/Pine Power Tournament hosted by St. Francis (Pa.) University over the weekend.
New Paltz (1-4) lost to Princeton in its tournament opener, 13-15, 9-15, 12-15, on Friday before rebounding to defeat host St. Francis, 15-11, 15-13, 15-12, for its first win on Saturday. Later that day, the Hawks fell to Eastern Mennonite, 16-14, 10-15, 10-15, 15-12, 13-15.
New Paltz sophomores Robert Manosca (setter) and Chris Wright (middle) were named to the All-Tournament Team.
