Without doubt, New Paltz has a lot to offer, but I did not expect that one of the best things during our stay there will be the weather!

Whereas our friends and families in Europe already wear winter coats and started complaining about bad weather weeks ago, we got to know New Paltz at its best – during the Indian Summer! Until the mid of October we enjoyed warm temperatures and sunbaths – and of course the wonderful view: All over the town and its area leafes shined in bright yellow, orange and golden colors. Locals told us that every autumn thousands of tourists come to New Paltz to see the georgous play of colours and, therefore the people from New Paltz are called “the Leafers”.

I recommend everyone to be a Leafer once in his lifetime, it´s totally worth it!
