Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx Studies (LACLAS) Program Fall Reception

The Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx Studies (LACLAS) Program recently held a Fall Reception for students interested in learning more about the program. The event, which took place on Nov. 8  in the Soujourner Truth Library Lobby, included the Afro-Latinx dance ensemble Impacto Sensual and student speakers Daniel Cadena, Yizaira Castaño, Brittney Cuevas, Gabriela Gomez, Kimberly Herrera, Catherine Lopez, Rachel Delamar Sine and Erica Vidal-Garcìa. The students represented the LACLAS program, the Latinx Club, the Caribbean-Latin Coalition and the Latin American Student Union. Professor César Barros A. introduced the program and student speakers and invited all to stay for a reception of Dominican food and refreshments.
