Congratulations to the following faculty and staff members for their notable awards, honors, and appointments and promotions:

Cecily Brown has been appointed keyboard specialist 2 in the Payroll Office.

Cathy Cooper has been appointed library clerk 2.

Anne Deutsch  (Library) has been promoted to senior assistant librarian.

Chien Huicheng, assistant professor, has received a $2,996 grant from SUNY/RF Sustainability Fund for his project titled, ” To improve water quality by establishing a green infrastructure of no-mow lawn buffers.”

Matthew Laudicina (Library) has been promoted to senior assistant librarian.

Stephen Lettis (Student Accounts) has been promoted to keyboard specialist 1.

Lauren Marcus (Library) has been promoted to senior assistant librarian.

Tom Meyer, associate professor (Secondary Education), and Mary Sawyer, associate professor (Secondary Education), have received a $2,000 grant from National Writing Project Corporation for their project titled, “Project Write: Exploring the Roosevelt and Vanderbilt National Historic Sites – A HVWP/National Parks Service Collaboration.”

Mary Panchyshyn (SSC) has been promoted to secretary 2.

Erica Parker (Accounts Payable) has been promoted to keyboard specialist 2.

Rebecca Rodriguez has been appointed as program coordinator (Institute for Disaster Mental Health).

Dr. Spencer Salend, retired professor, awarded Emeritus status.

Josh Simons, senior research associate (CRREO) has received a $10,000 grant from Hudson River Watershed Alliance for his project titled, “Watershed Protection and Management in the Hudson River Estuary Watershed.”
